AFRI Aviation Plc. operates under a special aviation consultancy license given in Ethiopia for the first time and registered under Registration No. MTA/AA/2/0024247/2006 with its head office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

AFRI Aviation Plc.’s main objective is to provide a range of consultancy services in the aviation field with a particular focus on African aviation. The company is headquartered in Addis Ababa and in due course it plans to have branch offices, affiliate companies or representations in strategic locations throughout Africa and the Middle-East Region.

Yissehak Zewoldi Belete is a graduate of Addis Ababa University with Bachelor of Science in Economics. Yissehak joined Ethiopian Airlines {ET} as a Transportation Agent in 1971 and progressed through the years to reach Vice President of Alliances & Strategic Planning position. While at Ethiopian Airlines, Yissehak assumed several key positions in Commercial and Strategic

Planning Departments and worked as Manager Economic Planning and Area & Regional Manager at four different countries in Africa and Europe. Upon his return from foreign assignments, he was appointed as Director Commercial Planning and Vice President Alliances & Strategic. Yissehak was assigned as CEO of Asky Airlines for a period of two years before leaving Ethiopian Airlines after four decades of extensive and dedicated services. He was also the CEO of Four Winds Travel & Tours, one of the largest Tour Operator in Ethiopia.

He has attended all Marketing, Sales and Management Development training programs at ET, Network & Fleet Planning at Boeing and Airline Planning at ICAO. He has also participated in Leadership training at Maastricht Management Institute. He spearheaded the joining of ET to Star Alliance right from the initial negotiation to full membership and thus contributed to the rapid and extensive market reach of the airline. As CEO of Asky Airlines, he contributed to the expansion of the network, introduction of cargo marketing/operation and led a team to secure the first IOSA Certification.
